Ok then, thats get it going shall we?..
The San Antonio Spurs have had a pretty rough time to this point of the 2008-09 regular season, and losing two of your top three players to fairly substantial injuries doesnt exactly help. But this week Manu Ginobili made his return to the court and with his help they have had a solid week, picking up a couple of wins as they go.
Manu's impact can be felt and seen as clear as day when he is on court and you can now see why he has been such a key loss for them. The quesion is now of course, can they keep him healthy for the rest of the year?
While he was sidelined the spurs explored a number of different lineups and matchups, and aside from Bruce Bowen's long standing appearance record being lost, nothing really interesting came out of the San-An area that was worth talking about. But, never fear because I doubt I will be the first to tell you how well young Mr George Hill has been performing at the point. A number of games with the big 20+ to his name and a load of assists and rebounds to boot, the spurs may have just stumbled on a possible steal of this years draft class.. Dont agree with me? well you're probably one of the only ones to do so.
Gregg Popovich hasnt exactly had much luck so far this season, and as said previously, losing your star PG and your start SG doesnt exactly bode well as far as winning basketball games is concerned. But all things considered ive got to say that they have somewhat impressed me with the resolve they've shown. In this past week they were able to reach the heavy heights of .500, and with two of your stars, all stars, out watching from the sidelines, thats an accomplishment in my book.

Phoenix Suns: Road to Success
Wade!, Wade!, Turnover!, Wade! And Chalmers! (oh and another turnover)
Phoenix Suns is the latest team to be raped by healthy Dwayne Wade. He and Chalmers together picked away suns defence forcing 10+ turnovers in the 1st quarter being 32-19 at the end of the 1st.
Dwayne Wade making 43 points, his season high in the first encounter between the suns, since the Shaq trade. Along with Wade’s 43 points he also achieved six assists and only two turnovers.
Both Shaq and Amare couldn't do anything to stop Wade dominance which happened throughout the whole game.
Yes Nash wasn’t playing because of a thigh injury because of Kevin Love, but that is no excuse to this embarrassment. It’s not like Nash can play and help defence so maybe having him on the floor could of made the pain a little better or could of been worse for the suns.

Im not sold that much on Conley. I've seen him get outplayed by the likes of Anthony Johnson, Ronnie Price, and Jacque Vaughn. not exactly the cream of the crop of PGs and all career backup journeymen. While Blake has looked solid and could be one of the more underrated players in the NBA. plus, Blake seems to fit the Blazers. sometimes a guy who fits is better to keep than getting an all-star who doesn't fit(see Dallas)
